The Pompadour Restaurant was named after Louis XV's mistress, Madame de Pompadour. In 1925 the original Drawing Room was transformed into the Pompadour Restaurant. Chisholm's Restaurant is positioned on the original platforms of the former Princes Street Railway Station. An archway, which was the exit to the train station, can still be seen in the Restaurant today. Chisholm's offers a variety of brasserie style International and local cuisine throughout the day. 

The Caley Bar provides a comfortable yet classy atmosphere as a retreat for a quiet drink and a proud and distinguished destination for discerning whisky drinkers. On entering the venue and viewing the impressive back gantry, it's clear that the Caley Bar is home to one of Scotland's finest whisky bar collections. Boasting over 250 "water of life" varieties, the Caley Bar is an authentic, traditional whisky bar dedicated to delivering the ultimate drinking experience for both tourists and locals.

 The Lounge is located on the ground floor, with views of Edinburgh Castle making this an ideal meeting place in the centre of town. A large selection of sandwiches, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day and we offer a sumptuous Afternoon Tea from 3pm to 5.30pm. For that special occasion indulge in our Celebration Afternoon Tea which includes a glass of Champagne to top off a perfect day.

The LivingWell Health Club has a swimming pool, beauty treatment rooms, spa pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium and weights room. Car parking is also available on site for a daily charge.

The hotel has 8 Conference and Events rooms for up to 300 guests and a business centre. The Caledonian is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and offers unique venues for your wedding ceremony and reception.

To get to the hotel - From the A9 and M8, exit onto A8 at junction 2 and follow the signs for Edinburgh City Centre. The hotel can be found on the right as you enter the city centre at the West End of Princes Street.
