The Famous Grouse Experience offers a day out like no other. You might even say that time with us is a whole new experience! You'll find us nestled in the heart of the scenic Perthshire countryside, just outside Crieff, at our spiritual home, Glenturret (Scotland's oldest distillery). Join us and you'll find lots of things to see and do — not to mention a few surprises! We like to think there's something to amuse, amaze and entertain visitors of all ages.

The distillery tour

Here at The Famous Grouse Experience you can learn just how The Glenturret Single Malt whisky is produced. We'll show you every step of the process, from how we grind the barley in the mill, through the mashing, fermenting and distilling processes, right up to the magical years of maturing, which give our whisky its unique character.

The nosing and tasting bar

Test your senses in our stylish nosing and tasting bar, and see if you've got what it takes to become a 'whisky nose'. Can you sniff out the different aromas that make The Famous Grouse so special? Come and have a dram with us and find out! You are guaranteed a truly remarkable sensory experience.

The marrying warehouse

It’s the way that we bring everything together that makes The Famous Grouse so smooth — and so special! In our unique marrying warehouse, you can enjoy a memorable musical demonstration of the very special skills that go into every single drop of our whisky. We'll show you how the individual 'notes' of each whisky are blended together to create the 'symphony' of Scotland's favourite whisky.

Come fly with us and experience what it's like to take to the skies with The Famous Grouse in our BAFTA Award-winning show. This unique experience allows you to 'take off' on a sightseeing flight across Scotland — you'll feel like you really are soaring above some of the country's best-loved landmarks! You can even help us break the ice to reveal the rippling 'water of life' at your feet. Plus, you and your fellow visitors can help each other complete our giant virtual jigsaw. The restaurant and bar

Enjoy a coffee, snack or meal in our Famous Restaurant. Our expert chefs, who take pride in using the best local ingredients, lovingly prepare each and every dish. There's a wide range of cakes, traybakes, sandwiches and locally caught haggis! And what better way to wash it all down than a drink at our unique bar? It's an attraction in its own right having been hand crafted from a 50 year old Glenturret washback. The perfect place to savour a 50 year old dram!
