541 YEARS SERVICE ACKNOWLEDGED

A group of employees from the World's Leading Malt Whisky Specialists, Gordon & MacPhail have been recognised by the company directors for long service, which totals 541 years.

The longest serving employee, Jean Mackintosh who started working for the company in October 1966, was recognised for her long service of 40 years earlier in 2007.  Following this, all employees who have served the company for longer than 10 years have now been recognised for their commitment and dedication to the company.

In recognition of their outstanding contribution to the success of the Elgin based company, the 23 employees will receive various gifts from electrical goods and jewellery to fishing equipment and cameras. 

Commenting on the Long Service Awards, Michael and David Urquhart, Joint Managing Directors at Gordon & MacPhail said, "On behalf of all the team at Gordon & MacPhail we thank these employees for all their hard work and commitment to the company over many years.  We remain committed to providing customers around the world with the highest quality products and excellent customer service.  All of our employees are integral to the success of the company and we look forward to the future with a strong team dedicated to delivering to the very highest standard."

The staff who are receiving the long service awards are Alastair Mitchell (Retail Sales Assistant) 38 years, Arthur McKenzie (Driver/Warehouse Operator) 32 years, Jack Findlay (Print Manager) 31 years, Dot Cantlie (Stock Control Assistant) 29 years, Andy Brooks (Purchase Stock Controller) 29 years, Des Donaldson (Warehouse Operator - Security and Property) 27 years, Neil Wilson (Assistant Bond Manager) 25 years, Callum Henderson (Carriers Supervisor) 24 years, Sheila Gowans (Purchase Administrator) 23 years, John Chater (Line Foreman) 22 years, Pat Symon (Order Department Supervisor) 22 years, Mhorag Sutherland (Purchase Ledger Assistant) 21 years, Fiona Fullarton (UK Sales Administrator) 20 years, Karen Johnston (Claims Assistant) 20 years, John Townsend (Mechanic/Engineer) 18 years, Alistair Blackburn (Stock Control Supervisor) 18 years, Maureen Henderson (Purchase Ledger Supervisor) 18 years, Peter Fraser (Bond Security Officer) 17 years, Margaret Graham (Cleaner) 15 years, Laurie Fishlock (Regional Sales Manager) 14 years, Bobby McCoach (Gardener/Handyman) 13 years, Ian Fenton (Area Sales Executive and Wine Advisor) 12 years and Eric Winter (Area Sales Executive) 12 years.
