Benromach Global Brand Ambassador to Feature on BBC Television

Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Global Brand Ambassador, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, will feature in a three part series on BBC Television series called 'Top Dogs: Adventures in War, Sea & Ice' with Sir Ranulph Fiennes and John Simpson. 

In Top Dogs: Adventures in War, Sea & Ice, each will introduce the others to his trademark craft, discussing how they embarked on what for all three have been gruelling, dangerous, and life-changing missions, and revealing why they do what they do, often against huge odds.

John Simpson has reported from 120 countries across the globe, from 36 war zones, and interviewed more than 150 kings, presidents and prime ministers. He takes Knox-Johnston and Fiennes to Afghanistan to show them what reporting in a hostile area is all about.

Benromach Global Brand Ambassador, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, sets his fellow travellers the task of sailing around Cape Horn, while Sir Ranulph Fiennes finishes off the journey by leading the trio on an expedition to the Arctic Circle.

First they have to get into training. Fiennes and Knox-Johnston will have to take part in a specialist hostile environments course before they can accompany Simpson to the war zone; Simpson and Fiennes will have to acquaint themselves with some of the perils of sailing on the open ocean while Knox-Johnston and Simpson will have to undergo training on how to survive in freezing temperatures. 

On the 22^nd of April 1969, aged 30, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston became the first person to sail single handed non-stop around the world.  As Global Brand Ambassador Sir Robin Knox-Johnston undertakes a number of roles on behalf of Benromach, including public speaking, product endorsement and hosting corporate promotional events.
