HIGHLAND PARK LAUNCHES OLDEST EVER WHISKY INTO RANGE

Highland Park 40 yo.JPG

Press release issued 2nd May 2008

Orkney based Highland Park has released its oldest ever whisky to be part of its core range of single malts.

Unlike older bottlings launched by other whisky makers, which are often limited editions, Highland Park's 40 year old will be a permanent fixture in their whisky line-up.

Jason Craig, Global Controller of Highland Park said: "Through foresight, we are blessed with stocks of aged whisky. Many other distilleries would love to be in this enviable position.  Rather than launch a series of limited editions we felt it was important to share our 40 years old with all whisky enthusiasts.  Releasing it as part of the core range makes it much more accessible to buy and enjoy."

Key artisan design elements of the Highland Park brand are clearly apparent. The liquid is held in a bespoke, decanter styled, glass bottle with handcrafted 'H' amulette in pewter that reflects Highland Park's Viking heritage.  The bottle is presented in a solid, oak stained wooden box; finished to cabinet quality, complete with hand-produced leather bound 28 page booklet, filled with details on the 40 years old single malt.

Made from casks married together from the late 1960's this flagship bottling is the perfect gift for those turning 40 on their birthday.
