Why not take a wander down into the picturesque village of Stockbridge? Sample some of the wonderful little shops and cafes, walk by the Water of Leith, then finish up with a pint and a dram in The Tap. With friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere it is the perfect place to sit back & watch the world go by, indulge in some of the finest pub food in town and sample our range of spirits, beers and wines.

Our whisky collection stretches to over a hundred single malts, from a wide selection of more familiar drams to some very unusual & rare single cask whiskies.  Independent bottlings from Cadenheads, Signatory and Gordon & McPhail can regularly be found lurking on the gantry. We also stock a selection of blended whiskies and a diverse variety of bourbons, rums, gins and other spirits should you wish to be adventurous!

There are 7 cask-conditioned ales to choose from dispensed through traditional hand pumps. As well as perennial favourites there is an ever-changing line-up of guest ales from all over the country? from milds to stouts; hoppy bitters to fruit beers - something for every palate. We also have a range of bottle conditioned ales, a worldwide selection of bottled beers, and some unusual draughts on offer.

The menu focuses on high quality, locally sourced produce to make traditional seasonal food - the perfect accompaniment to the drinks on offer. A venison & beetroot pie with a rich, sherried mortlach perhaps? Or how about the light white chocolate & vanilla tones of a Glen Garioch to complement the rhubarb, apple & ginger crumble? The choice is yours!
