For Hoteliers to become involved in ScotlandWhisky they need to become a Scotch Whisky Embassy - this is a hotel that is accredited by ScotlandWhisky. Embassies are high-quality establishments which have a good understanding of Scotch Whisky. They are an exclusive group and each has had to fulfil criteria to be considered for membership. There is a cap to the number of hotels that can be involved.
Membership of the Embassy network entitles you to:

- Free listing on distilleries recommended businesses list
- Free mini cask end membership plaque
- Free listing of PR releases and events on ScotlandWhisky.com
- Free promotion, under the ScotlandWhisky umbrella, to consumers and the travel trade
- 40% discounts on homepage listing enhancements
- Free advertising agency produced template adverts for your own tastings and business.
- Free placement of job ads on Scotlandwhisky's trade section
Embassy hotels fulfill the following criteria:
- 3 - 5 star accommodation standard (as accredited by VisitScotland)
- Stock an extensive range of Scotch Whisky. (Including: a selection of standard and aged blended Scotch whiskies; at least one whisky from each malt whisky region; and two Scotch whisky based liqueurs).
- Educated and knowledgeable staff . Staff need to have passed the Scotch Whisky Experience's training school exam. See: Scotch Whisky Training School
- Conducive ambience to whisky appreciation.
- Geographically dispersed throughout Scotland.
- Committed Management.
- Agree to complete a quarterly one page review of how the training has influence their business.
