Getting to Islay and Jura

Air
There is a daily (except Sundays) British Airways service from Glasgow Airport to Islay.
This service gets you to Islay in around 30 minutes.

By Car and Ferry
From Glasgow take the A82 up Loch Lomondside , turn onto the A83 at Tarbet and continue on through Inveraray and Lochgilphead towards Tarbert on Loch Fyne. Kennacraig ferry port is about five miles on from Tarbert, The journey takes around two and a half hours.

Ferry
A two hour ferry crossing operated by Caledonian MacBrayne runs from Kennacraig to Port Ellen on Islay. It runs twice daily throughout the year, once on Sundays with some additional summer season sailings.

The ferry from Port Askaig to Jura takes 10 minutes and runs regularly. Ensure you know the time of the last ferry from Jura; it is quite early and varies through the year.
